HOUSTON, February 3, 2016—
ChaiOne, an enterprise design and innovation firm in Houston, announced today that due to rapid growth, it has moved its company headquarters to the penthouse suite at 1800 West Loop South more than double the size of its previous space.
“Our incredible growth in the last three years made this move necessary,” CEO and Founder Gaurav Khandelwal said. “Although we had originally planned to renovate a building purchased in the EaDo area, we grew too fast to continue to wait for renovations. This new space is a much better fit for us and our clients.”
The company, originally founded in 2008, has grown to 75 employees, the majority of whom are Houston-based. Khandelwal purchased an older building in EaDo in 2013 to renovate and eventually house the Houston headquarters, but the company’s rapid growth, coupled with unforeseen renovation issues at the building, made the move to the 11,500 square foot penthouse suite at 1800 West Loop South more suitable to meet the needs of the ChaiOne team and clients. The Houston Business Journal recently named ChaiOne as the 2015 Enterprise Champion for its innovative work with the Internet of Things.
“We’re really excited to welcome our clients, employees and technology partners to this space,” Khandelwal added. “It’s a sign of how invested we are in continuing to make Houston a technology hub.”
For the EaDo building, Khandelwal is committed to the building’s future for the technology community here in Houston. “I want it to be a space for the technology community and I want to open it up to the community for ideas on how to best use the space,” he added.
